COMMUNICATIONS:
Dennis reported $330
in dues and $2100.50 pager payments received so far for
2008.
Lifetime member Bob
Weedon sent an unrestricted $50 donation and wished everyone well. By a vote of
the membership, this will be put in Share 16 for RSU.
Dennis is still
negotiating with USA Mobility for pager billing overcharges. He indicated
the new rep is cooperative. Pager users were AGAIN advised
that our pager access does NOT control what is sent out by IFD or MECA. If not
sent, we don’t receive.
THE REAL STATION 12:
Mark Burke reported a steam pipe repair in the
basement. Light bulbs were replaced throughout the building.
Overhead door opener was received to aid in getting canteen out.
Jim Williamson has provided display case for
department patches in Watch room. Further work to secure the doors will be
done.
7th Congressional district Special
Election will be held Tuesday, March 11, at the station. Apparently only one
precinct will be there (used to be two), as Marion County has reduced the number of polling
places by 1/3.
