President Rodger Birchfield called the meeting to order at 1928. Twelve members were present; six members were excused.
A moment of silence was observed to honor deceased members and local firefighters. The Pledge of Allegiance followed.
A motion to approve the minutes of the May, 2008 meeting was made and seconded. The motion was approved.
The Treasurer presented the May, 2008 report. Moved and seconded for approval. Motion approved.

Ed reported a "personal services contract" was in development for canteen services we provide. Identifying T-shirts for canteen staff are being produced.
Ed has contacted a civilian in FL who has a used canteen vehicle for sale. It appears to be suited to outfitting as another RSU with lettering and could be used as a second canteen unit.
TURNOUT:No report.
WEBSITE:Dennis reports contact with volunteer outside the club who is a web designer and who will be able to assist him. Meeting will be scheduled to discuss and plan website improvements. Special Executive Board meeting about website management will be reported at next months meeting.
COMMUNICATIONS:All "old" pagers are no longer in service. Eight notices for "disconnect" have been sent Registered Mail-Return Receipt requested, approximately half have been returned. Dennis continues to negotiate pricing issues with USA Mobility, our pager carrier. Estimated difference may be as much as $800 in billing returns due back to IFB.
THE "REAL" STATION 12:No report.
OLD BUSINESS: J.C. Taylor auto insurance policy and St. Paul /Travelers liability insurance policies will be returned for cancellation.
Two registrations for 2008 IFBA convention in Racine, WI., moved, seconded, approved.
Ed McMichael elected Delegate and Jim Williamson alternate for Convention. Jerry Traub will attend as TURNOUT editor.>
No further information about IFD radio system change to Digital broadcasting from Analog.
NEW BUSINESS: Ed McMichael presented RSU duty calendar for rest of month. He needs sign-ups for complete coverage.
